Credits make the difference.
SPPU defines CGPA as the credit-weighted average of course grade points across the semesters counted in your program. When combining semester SGPAs, use each semester’s credit total as its weight.
If all semesters have the same credits, those weights cancel out: add the SGPAs and divide by the number of semesters.

| Semester | SGPA | Credits | SGPA × credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semester 1 | 8.00 | 20 | 160 |
| Semester 2 | 7.50 | 24 | 180 |
Use updated semester results after cleared backlogs or revaluation. Include only the semesters counted for your course and entry route. Because grade-sheet SGPAs are rounded, the result may differ slightly from the university’s course-level calculation.

Keep your semester grade sheets handy. The right inputs make the difference.
Can I calculate CGPA with only my SGPAs?
Yes, when every included semester has the same credit total. Confirm this on your grade sheets, then select the equal-credits option. Otherwise, enter the credits for each semester so the calculation uses the correct weights.
Do I need to enter all eight semesters?
You can calculate your cumulative GPA using the completed semesters you have results for. Add or remove rows to match them. Follow your program’s rules for which semesters count, including direct second-year entry.
Is this the percentage conversion formula?
This calculator combines semester GPAs into CGPA. The existing percentage converter is a separate tool. After calculating a CGPA of 4.00 or above, use the result button to open it with your CGPA already filled in.
