Start with the method on your certificate.
SPPU’s exam section publishes percentage = CGPA × 8.9. Reversing that equation gives CGPA = percentage ÷ 8.9. For example, 75% becomes approximately 8.43 CGPA.
The alternative option reverses this site’s other formula: CGPA = percentage ÷ 10 + 0.75. Select it only when that is the method used for your result.
SPPU exam section · conversion formula ↗One percentage can have more than one match.
The grade-wise option reverses the same ranges and equations used in our existing CGPA converter. Where ranges overlap, it shows every matching estimate. Where there is a gap, it reports that no match is available.
Use the grade on your mark sheet to distinguish matching results. Rounding can change the percentage when you convert back, especially near a grade boundary. This estimate does not replace your university-awarded CGPA.
Make sense of the estimate.
A percentage and a GPA describe your results differently. The conversion method connects them.
Does this calculate my original university CGPA?
It estimates the CGPA implied by the selected percentage equation. Your awarded CGPA comes from course grades and credits. Use your official grade sheet when a form asks for your university-awarded CGPA.
Why does the 8.9 method accept only up to 89%?
A GPA of 10 multiplied by 8.9 equals 89%. A higher percentage would produce a GPA above 10 with this equation, so the calculator reports the valid range instead of capping the result. Select the method actually used for your course.
Is this a US 4.0 GPA conversion?
No. This tool estimates GPA on a 10-point scale using the selected equations. It is not a credential evaluation or a conversion to a US 4.0 grading scale.
